Saffron is grown in Kashmir Valley in India and is hand plucked and sun dried. Since only top thread of the plant is used to make saffron, it is one of the most expensive products that offers warmth to the body and is extremely good for eyes and bones. Only 2 to 3 threads of saffron are recommended for single use. It's recommended to consume saffron once a day unless recommended by medical practitioners. The threads can be boiled in milk or used to strengthen bones by boiling with smaller portion of turmeric. Saffron is used in combination with some Teas to warm human body.
